PM Bro. James Bell Celebration Dinner
21/04/2023
The Lodge held a dinner for PM Jim Bell to acknowledge and celebrate the extraordinary achievement of becoming the RWPGM of Ayrshire.
As well as brethren of 1060, the evening was enhanced with the presence of three good friends of the Lodge and Past Provincial Grand Masters of Ayrshire, Bros Billy Steel, Robert Little and Archie Chalmers.
PM Robert McLaughlan put a lot of background work into the evening and the theme was ‘This is your life, Jim Bell’. It was great to listen to the Brethren’s stories from Jim’s past and his journey through life and freemasonry. It was clear to see the positive impact Jim has had on so many people along the way.
The Lodge presented Jim with a Dinner Jewel as a token of our appreciation, and I’m sure will be a pleasant reminder of 1060 when he is out and about on his journeys.
As for the meal, to all the brethren involved in setting up the Lodge, preparing and serving the meal, tidying up afterwards, give yourselves a pat on the back as it was first class, and the evening wouldn’t have been the same without your efforts.
