It is an honour and a great personal pleasure to take charge of the Lodge for the remainder of our Centenary year.
On Saturday 17th April we visited Lodge St Fothad's No 1059 at Cardenden in Fife. Lodge St Fothad's received their Charter on the same day as 1060.
We were made most welcome by St Fothad's and I would like to record my thanks to their RWM, Office Bearers and Brethren for their hospitality. Thanks also to the brethren who accompanied me on this visit.
On the 23rd April we went along to our sister lodge St Mathew Kilwinning No 549 and successfully claimed the Travelling Mallet. It was in our care at the first Centenary Year meeting and now it will be there for our last Centenary Year meeting on the 29th April. A big thank you to the seventeen brethren who gave me their support.
The final meeting of our Centenary Year was an Entered Apprentice degree conferred by the senior office-bearers of the lodge. The Worshipful Master of lodge Strawberryhill 946 Bro Fred Galbraith accompanied by PM's Ron Sharpe and Stewart MacKay presented the lodge with a splendid set of Working Tools complete with a magnificant case to mark our Centenary.
After the summer recess we have visits from St James No 125 on 23 September (EA), Crosshill No 1212 on 30 September (FC) and Coila No 1334 on 11 November (MM).
